Laurie Actman

Viridity Energy

Laurie is the Director of Government Relations and Business Development at Viridity Energy, a Conshohocken based smart grid technology company.  Previously she worked as the Mayor's Liaison for the Metropolitan Caucus at the City of Philadelphia. Laurie has also held positions with Select Greater Philadelphia, the Central Philadelphia Development Corporation, Greater Philadelphia First, National Community Capital Association in Philadelphia, The Center for Community Capitalism, Local Initiatives Support Corporation in New York City, the Rails-To-Trails Conservancy in Washington, D.C., The Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America Political Action Committee in Washington, D.C. She holds a Master of Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina. Volunteer experience includes work with the Carrboro Downtown Development Commission, the Highway Safety Research Center at UNC-Chapel Hill, and the Environmentors Project with the Metropolitan Branch Trail Coalition, D.C. Current board memberships include the Schuylkill River Greenway Association and J’Chai.
