Nancy Mohr

Chester County 2020

Nancy is Executive Director of Chester County 2020, a non-profit whose mission encompasses farmland and open space preservation with special attention to support for livable communities through more effective cooperation and communication. As a primary CC2020 vehicle developed under her guidance, Community Conversations in partnership with other county-wide organizations have been conducted as summits around affordable housing, transportation, revitalization, municipal planning and quality of life in Chester County. CC2020 also convenes meetings with the Western Chester County Regional Committee, working to encourage multi-municipal cooperation. Nancy has been deeply involved in land preservation and community issues for more than 25 years as a writer and consultant. She worked with the Brandywine Conservancy’s King Ranch project, founded and administered their Headwaters Conservation Program for ten years, and has served as a member of the GSA steering committee since 1994. She is vice-chair of the Chester County Planning Commission, and the Chester County Agricultural Development Council. In partnership with John Keene, she conducted two major regional studies, both funded by the William Penn Foundation: Farmland Preservation and Visions of Landscapes: The Attitudes That Produce Sprawl. She holds a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College, B.A. in Political Science with on-going courses in related fields.
