Mission
The GreenSpace Alliance promotes and advocates for the preservation and enhancement of recreational, natural and agricultural open spaces to preserve the quality of life in southeastern Pennsylvania.
Vision
The GreenSpace Alliance envisions a network of protected, enhanced and maintained open spaces and landscapes that unify and connect the green cities, towns and open lands of the southeast Pennsylvania region. Its citizens, organizations, and businesses understand and value this network’s critical impact on the region’s natural lands, waters, farmlands, economy, recreational amenities and aesthetics. The green space system greatly enhances the quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors to the region.
The GreenSpace Alliance will lead in achieving this vision by promoting it throughout the region, educating opinion leaders, decision-makers, and the public about salient issues, and advocating for policy changes and funding that advance the vision. The GreenSpace Alliance will build robust strategic partnerships with the business community, and with civic and nonprofit organizations with regional interests and commitments that will help to realize this open space vision. These partnerships will broaden the base of support and increase resources to take the steps necessary to realize the vision.
